A large multinational company is looking for experienced personnel for the following positions for their Sirajganj project;

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Execution of scheduled, routine/Preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities in safe and cost effective manner during plant normal operation and during annual outages as per schedule.
• Receive PTWs for LV system and execute PM/CM activities.
• Plan job execution with supervisor; ensure proper selection of tools and test equipment, spares and consumables from store and follow work procedure or instructions given by supervisor/engineer for particular job. Update Supervisor/Engineer of job progress and any difficulty faced while carrying out the work.
• Guide technician working with him for trouble shooting and provide OJT.
• Submit MR, collect consumables/spares from store, inspect material received in store, track consumables in workshop store and arrange as and when required.
• Ensure availability of check sheets and forms. Ensure that filled forms are submitted to engineer for review and closure of job before cancellation of PTW.  Fill out check sheets and record observations/readings/findings. Adhere to sequence of work. Verify after repair if everything is as required to clear the permit so that reliability/availability of equipment/unit is not affected.
• Provide feedback to Supervisor /Engineer on spares requirement, work improvement methods, requirement of change in plan due to unforeseen work situation or change in plant/equipment status etc.
• Assist Supervisor/Engineer in spares planning and procurement of spares by collecting data from equipment. Assist Supervisor/Engineers on spares identification and verification
• Ensure that reliability and availability of equipment being serviced is maintained by adhering to vendor’s manual and standard engineering job practices.
• Participate in departmental safety meetings, toolbox talks and safety programs.
• Participate in SMART projects to improve plant reliability & availability.
• Ensure that contract man power employed are working safely and adhering to safe work practices and company rules & regulations.
• Perform plant walkabout for safety and equipment health monitoring and generate reports.
• A member of company’s Emergency Response Plan.
• Bring up EHS concerns to the attention of his direct supervisor or EHS department.
• Be vigilant in the work area, identify and report to their Supervisors about imminent dangers / hazards / concerns to environment, health and safety.
• Always follow the standard operations control procedures so as to avoid any activity which might lead to EHS incidents / nonconformities.
• Follow sound environment health and safety practices on and off duty.
• Perform task as assigned by immediate supervisor as and when required.

Required qualification and experience:

Education: B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from a recognized college/university/institution.

Prior Work Experience: 7-10 years experiences in a power plant or similar industry with power plant (Turbine and Boiler) or Utilities Plant. 

Knowledge: Good electrical engineering foundation and practical knowledge and its application to modern power and water plant. Must have exposure and hands on to work independently for LV/HV switchgear, LV/HV Transformers, motors, control circuit trouble shooting, lighting, HVAC, Battery, MOVs, excitation system, battery chargers and UPS, DC system, use of modern testing instruments (current injection kits/meggers/ducters/ratio test kits/ct/pt testing/breaker analyzer etc), wiring modification etc. Must be familiar with electrical safety. Must have worked in Power plant or water plant. Must have ability to climb monkey ladders and work at heights, difficult locations. Must be able to read and understand electrical drawings, control ckt drawings. Working knowledge of CMMS.

Skills and Abilities: Ability to coordinate activities with Operations Department personnel. Power plant engineering concepts. Understanding of principles of protection system for different electrical equipment, High voltage equipment etc. Computer literacy in MS office is a must. Good Leadership Skills, Must be a very good team player. Ability to provide guidance & instruction to subordinates. Ability to give accurate feedback on equipment problems and suggest solutions. Strong understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment management systems and safety rules. Positive learning attitude and High acceptability for job

Language Proficiency: Good Working Knowledge both in English & Bangla.
