Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist Lead EE to monitor the scheduled and routine activities to ensure work carried out as per specifications and procedures.
- Assist to plan, monitor and execute scheduled, routine, predictive and corrective maintenance activities for complete plant electrical system and ensure that work is carried out as per procedure and checklist.
- Identification of spares requirement for different area of the plant and forward requirement to lead EE/procure such spares and contract services.
- Assist Lead Engineer in preparing budget by bringing to notice any systematic equipment replacement or overhauling of equipment is required.
- Submission of Manpower requirement and necessary resources and facilities for the timely completion of routine and shutdown jobs.
- Ensure that there is good co-ordination within department and with other departments.
- Support to other department for continual improvement of system-Electrical, Mechanical, Health, Safety & Environment.
- Handle GT schedules outages CI/HGPI/MI.
- Keep Maintenance Manager updated with progress of plant activities and inform in advance requirement or change of plan or activity etc. on day to day basis.
- Inspection of spares at store after receipt and generation of NCR is any. Follow up for delivery of spares.
- Supervise and monitor closely maintenance and overhaul activities and ensure adherence of work procedure and generation field reports.
- Trouble shooting/fault diagnosis/failure analysis to address failure and breakdown of equipment. Track repeated failures and bring to notice of Maintenance Manager such failures.
- Provide on the job training to subordinates to make them able to handle the jobs independently.
- Attend various inter-discipline, inter-departmental meeting for co-ordination and resolving various plant related issues.
- Assist Maintenance Manager to comply with EHSMS.
- Execution of modifications/Suggestions and generate report, keep drawing etc updated after modification. Maintain proper record for all tests for future reference.
- Coordinate with store for day to day spares and consumable requirements.
- Participate in failure analysis and RCA.
- Bring up EHS concerns to the attention of his direct supervisor or EHS department.
- Be vigilant in the work area, identify and report to their Supervisors about imminent dangers / hazards / concerns to environment, health and safety.
- Always follow the standard operations control procedures and good EHS practices such as life saving rules, reporting of near misses, PTW compliance etc. so as to avoid any activity which might lead to EHS incidents / nonconformities.
- Participate in EHS trainings and awareness sessions/ campaigns.
- Follow sound environmental practices for conservation of natural resources, good housekeeping and proper waste disposals on and off duty.
- Perform Behaviour Based Safety Observation (BBSO) as per compliance requirements.
- Perform task as assigned by immediate supervisor as and when required.
Required qualification and experience:
Education: B.Sc in Electrical Engineering from a recognized college/university/institution.
Prior Work Experience: 12 years experiences in a power plant or similar industry with power plant (Turbine and Boiler) or Utilities Plant. Experienced in Maintenance of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbine & Boilers. Previous exposure to operations of Cogen plant will be added advantage.
Additional Training/Qualification: Familiar with SAP, Job Safety Analysis, Work Method Statement and Permit to Work application requirements and procedures. Computer literacy in MS office is a must.
Knowledge: Good electrical engineering foundation and practical knowledge and its application to modern power and water plant. Must have exposure and hands on to work independently. Must be familiar with electrical safety. Must have worked in Power plant or water plant. Must have ability to climb monkey ladders and work at heights, difficult locations.
Skills and Abilities: Computer literacy in MS Office is a must. Good analytical skills. Must be well conversant with electrical Protections and high voltage system, various codes and standard and prudent engineering practices. Able to carry out trouble shooting / fault diagnosis. Must be able to understand electrical drawings & P&ID, and be able to troubleshoot microprocessor & DCS based controllers. Good Interpersonal and Organization skill. Ability to provide guidance & instruction to subordinates, dedicated and result oriented. Must be able to work as team member in a multi-cultural environment.
Language Proficiency: Good Working Knowledge both in English & Bangla.
