Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execution of scheduled, routine, predictive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
- Assist Engineer in manpower planning and arranging the necessary resources and facilities for timely completion of planned and unplanned jobs.
- Participate in Safety Meetings and SMART projects.
- Prepare & communicates the daily job status, arrange permit to work and upload repair / part replacement information into MAXIMO.
- Assist Engineers in identifying appropriate tools and equipment which may improve work method and productivity.
- Co-ordinate with vendors regarding repair jobs and instruct them suitable for finalizing the scope.
- Participate in trouble shooting and failure analysis to ensure that problem doesn’t repeat again.
- To conduct on the job training schedules to subordinates to make them able to handle the jobs independently.
- Carry out routine walk down around the plant and observe equipment performance.
- Monitor critical and essential equipment regularly to avoid any catastrophe.
- Coordinate with other maintenance supervisors for smoother execution.
- Assist Engineer in optimizing the maintenance schedule and give feedback on effectiveness of preventive maintenance activities.
- Participate in Job safety analysis, risk matrix and outage planning activities.
- Track on spares availability and make alerts for procurement
- Verify isolation and Receive work permits.
- Coordinate with other sections for smooth execution.
- Bring up EHS concerns to the attention of his direct supervisor or EHS department.
- Be vigilant in the work area, identify and report to their Supervisors about imminent dangers / hazards / concerns to environment, health and safety.
- Always follow the standard operations control procedures so as to avoid any activity which might lead to EHS incidents / nonconformities.
- Follow sound environment health and safety practices on and off duty.
- Perform task as assigned by immediate supervisor as and when required.
Required qualification and experience:
Education: B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Higher Secondary Certificate (with at least 7 years practical experience) from a recognized college/university/institution.
Prior Work Experience: 5-7 years experiences in a power plant or similar industry with power plant (Turbine and Boiler) or Utilities Plant.
Additional Training/Qualification: Training on fuel/gas engines, fire-fighting, fork lift operation & industrial safety. Computer literacy in MS office is a must.
Knowledge: Sound theoretical & practical knowledge on running and maintenance of fuel/gas engines; and on auxiliary equipment such as separator, compressors, etc.
Language Proficiency: Working Knowledge both in English & Bangla.
