We are seeking a smart, energetic and articulated person for the below mentioned scope.

Job Title: Senior Manager/ Manager (CATV Division)

Department: IT

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all Servers and applications to provide CATV service in Bangladesh.

Essential Job Responsibility:

  • Plans, directs and coordinates the daily cable system technical operations.
  • Manage both digital and analog CATV Systems on required hardware platforms in a production environment with minimum downtime. 
  • Oversee the daily work assignments for the technical staff (i.e. installations of service, routine maintenance of cable plant and related electronics to provide broadband services, service calls and construction of aerial and underground services).
  • Coordinates the technical training of CATV Service Technicians.
  • Ensures performance, reliability and security of the cable system in compliance with rules, regulations, standards and specifications.
  • Maintain current knowledge of local underground and overhead optical fiber network system, current rules and regulations on service installation, broadcasting, copy write and other related with CATV service in Bangladesh.
  • Maintain a variety of records relating to daily, weekly, monthly and annual activities and periodic external regulatory reports.
  • Ensures equipment maintenance and support contracts are current.
  • Ensures adequate inventory of tools, supplies, cables, spare plant and head end equipment, set-top boxes, cable modems and other customer service related equipment to prevent disruption of service.
  • Coordinates all capital improvement projects including research, project planning, network design, equipment procurement, contractor selection, supervision of contractors, and the final delivery of projects.
  • Coordinates relationship with third party technical and customer support service providers.
  • Provides professional advice to management on deployment of new technology and services.
  • Interacts with national cable organizations, cable companies, equipment manufacturers, other departments, elected officials and the general public to respond to technical issues related to operations of the cable system.

Education and Experience:
Any combination equivalent to the following education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities would qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be: Bachelors’ degree in computer science/broadcasting or related field; 8 to 10 years of experience with CATV industry in a service environment.
