Communication Advisor

Job Responsibilities

  • The role will entail the execution of strategic plans to promote Chevron and position it favorably to key stakeholders, including business and community, employees, NGOs, and civil society as a whole.
  • The successful candidate with superior communication skills will be responsible for implementing plans that cover a broad variety of communications assignments that are strategic, measurable and aligned with company goals. In addition, the role will involve the implementation of specific media strategies that promote better understanding of the company`s activities, initiatives and events to the public.
  • Develop content (concept & design) for annual reports, brochures, short videos, pictorial publications, internet & intranet content, executive speeches, and other communication materials/tools as and when required;
  • Prepare model Q&As and interviews, related to both core business and social investment; Maintain relationships with media contacts on an ongoing basis;
  • Provide strategic, proactive counsel in crisis situations;

Educational Requirements 

  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in written English; 
  • MBA or Master’s degree (Preferably Journalism, Mass Communication, Social Sciences, or English, from a reputed university); 
  • At least 10 years of experience in the social investment arena, including a minimum of six years of  proven management experience in a bilateral, multi-lateral or international non-government organization.
