Job Title: General Manager (GM) (No. Of Vacancy: 1)
Reporting
The GM will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, and managing all finance-related activities of the Automotive Sector in Bangladesh.
As a key management team, this role will have direct reporting to the local CFO, and functional reporting to Headquarters’ Finance Head in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Strategic
- Support and key liaison for local CEO & CFO in directing and overseeing all aspects of the Finance & Accounts functions in Bangladesh:
- Monthly financial reporting and analysis
- Quarterly review and corrective actions
- Annual budgeting and auditing
- Develop local financial reporting to align with Head office reporting requirements
- Conduct quarterly finance head meetings to discuss financial performance, financial / regulatory / tax developments
- Train the Finance Unit on raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters.
- Prepare annual budgeting process & project proposals (e.g. expansion projects with projections and pay back).
- Maintain good relations with our existing banks and present loan applications/renewals with the individual Finance Heads.
Operational
- Support CFO in all financial matters and advisories
- Setup an internal authorization & signatory matrix in key areas:
- Contractual/Trade Purchases
- Capital investment
- Cheque signatory
- Ensure appropriate internal financial controls are in place, monitor and review periodically.
- Review monthly operating reports for accuracy, completeness and major variances between actual and budget results.
- Ensure monthly financial statements, financial packages, and other informational reports/analysis are submitted on time.
- Assist local Finance Heads in area of monitoring and controlling accounts receivables and payables.
- Assist cash management activities to ensure sufficient cash flow, reduced operating costs, and improve profitability.
- Assist the yearly audit and tax filing to align with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree / ACCA (Level 3) at an accredited college/university locally or overseas.
- Chartered Accountant / CPA from an internationally recognized accounting institution.
- An MBA from an accredited or internationally recognized university preferred.
- 10 years’ commercial working experience with the last 5 years in Comptrollership level.
- Proficient in financial accounting software, MS Excel and Office.
- Possesses both leadership qualities and able to play a hands-on role.
- Should be smart, intelligent, reliable and trustworthy.
