The JiVitA Project operates under the terms and conditions of a large global research activity of the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University. Baltimore MD, USA and is being implemented by the Johns Hopkins University Bangladesh (JHU-B), and International NGO registered under the NGO-Affairs Bureau.

Senior Accounts Officer
Job Description:
- The person should be efficient in financial planning and budgetary control of the projects
- Monitoring daily/weekly/monthly accounts and ensure necessary reconciliation before finalize the accounts.
- Forecasting periodical budget and projected financial statements.
- Responsible for supervise team; organize the cost & financial data for internal & external use.
- To check bill, voucher, costing of all products, budget etc. of selected companies of the group.
- To check Bank voucher and Bank reconciliation statement.
- Conduct internal audit as per audit plan, Scope of Audit and Audit Program as per NGO Affairs bureau policy.
- Innovating /originating idea/ technique for minimizing the error of financial transaction
- Require the fund management for all kinds of payment.
- He will liaise closely with JHU Board Members and also work with various other Projects of JHU.
- Must have the vast knowledge about the policy and procedure of the NGO affairs bureau to run the project accordingly.
- Posses the knowledge of Bangladesh labor law
- Familiar with systems, rules, regulations and policies of GOB, with ability to interact closely with statutory bodies, authorities, agencies and other related organizations and institutions
- Well-experienced in International Accounting Standards (IAS), Bangladesh Accounting Standards (BAS) and Bangladesh Financial Reporting Standards (BFRS).
- The candidate should possess strong analytical and financial skills, Conversant with Governmental Rules, Regulations on Industrial and Company Law, Taxation, and VAT, Internal Auditing & Custom related issues
- Prepare FD-2, FD-3, FD-6, FC-1 and deal with NGOAB & other regulatory bodies
- Prepare financial statements as required by Development Partners/ donors
- Ensure implementation of financial policy and guidelines for the organization as well as different projects
- Take necessary initiatives for financial controlling
Additional Job Requirement:
- Age 35 to 45 year(s)
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of modern financial management, VAT, Tax and desired accounting methods
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Good morale value with ethical commitment;
- Well behaved, convincing & positive attitude
- Must have sound knowledge in Financial Planning, Inventory & Asset management
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and experience
- Has the vision for development issues and project implementation
Job Nature: Contractual (Extendable upon availability of fund and satisfactory performance)
Educational Requirements
- M Com (Accounting) /CA Course Completed/ CA (Inter)/ P1
- Skills Required : Accounting Software – Quick Books, SAGE 300 and good Computer Skill
Experience Requirements
- 10 to 15 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Accounts, Internal Audit, Finance
