Consultancy Announcement

Project for Strengthening Health Systems through Organizing Communities (SHASTO), implemented by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and supported by JICA, is aimed at improving quality of essential NCD prevention and care services in rural and urban areas in Bangladesh. To support finalization of project design and timely initiation of project implementation, the project is looking for qualified Bangladeshi national to fulfill the following consultancy work.

Period of consultancy: from November 2017 to March 2018

Consultant-Public Health (1 post, Dhaka)

Responsibility: to support implementation of Urban Health and Quality of Health Service related activities of the project (focusing on Non-communicable diseases control) in collaboration with the government counterparts and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor
  • At least 8 years experiences in the field of public health and Non-communicable diseases control
  • Ability to provide technical assistance in guideline/protocole development; data management; and planning, monitoring & evaluation 
  • Experience in working and coordinating with different stakeholders in public and private sectors
  • Experiences in training development/facilitation
  • Experiences in research work
  • Excellent team player and proven skills on team building as well as working with diversified people  
  • Have a strong command in English (written and oral)
  • Computer skills (MS Ward, MS Excel, Power Point, SPSS, etc.)
