Human Resources Officer

BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health (JPGSPH) at BRAC University was established in 2004 as an international educational and research institution focusing on the integral areas of teaching, research, and services. The goal of the School is to not only impart knowledge but also to act as a center of excellence in knowledge creation through research and training that connects with practice. BRAC JPGSPH is looking for a dynamic HR Officer.

Purpose:
The HR Officer will be responsible HR related jobs at BRAC JPGSPH.

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the whole staff recruitment and selection process starting from ensuring recruitment requisition to complete interview. e.g: collect recruitment requisition, arrange written exam & interview, communicate with candidate for written & viva, prepare summary sheet after and send regret letter to unsuccessful candidate.
  • Complete all formalities of new joiner providing appointment letter, joining letter, IT form to new employees, update new employees on website and ERP.
  • Implement performance appraisal processes as per organization policy and timelines. e.g: prepare list for yearly appraisal on every month, notify the supervisors, provide evaluation form to respective supervisors and process accordingly as per the decision of supervisor.
  • Prepare and process timely monthly salary statement, adjust increment and deduction as and when required.
  • Maintain and regularly update master database (employee personal file, employee database, etc.) of each employee.
  • Regular update ERP e.g: include new employees and delete the separated employees from ERP.
  • Maintain HR records, e.g. office order, memo, policies.
  • Coordinate official events, farewell, orientation and meetings.
  • Prepare meeting minutes of general meeting and filled accordingly.
  • Prepare monthly staff report for Register Office.
  • Carry out any other duties related to the organization, as requested by the supervisor.

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor and Master’s degree or BBA and MBA with major in HRM (preferably having minor in finance or accounting) and any professional certificate course on HRM (preferred) from a reputed university with excellent academic track record. Having good IELTS result will be considered as added advantages.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in HR management and support, Secretarial experience will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills both in English and Bengali;
  • Computer literacy is essential e.g. Microsoft Office. Specially MS word, MS Excel, Power point, MS outlook;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
  • Proactive in taking initiatives and being an active team player;
  • Have to be detail oriented and efficient in handing pressure.
  • Responsible for timely delivery of tasks and maintaining quality;
  • Positive work attitude, sincerity and honesty.
