Call for Expression of Interest

In an attempt to improve maternal and neonatal deaths and increase in use of family planning methodsin Bangladesh, the BRAC University is facilitating a three-year diploma in midwifery education programme, with the purpose of developing a cadre of competent and compassionate midwives many of whom will be available for serving in hard-to-reach underserved rural and urban areas of the country.BRAC University is leading a midwifery diploma programme in partnership with six non-governmental partner organizations (as Academic Sites, situated in remote areas of Bangladesh). This innovative educational initiative, implementing under Developing Midwives Project (DMP) at BRAC University funded by the UK government, is the first of its kind in the private sector of Bangladesh. The programme is expected to create a cadre of midwife and keeping them in hard-to-reach under-served areas. It is expected that the programme will improve the situation of maternal and neonatal health in Bangladesh, significantly.

Developing Midwives Project is inviting proposals from interested individuals/organizations/agencies for ‘Developing business plan for Developing Midwives Project ’.

The individual/organizations/agencies must submit the following:

  • Technical proposal with cover page, rationale of the assignment for conceptual clarity, content of the proposed matter, proposed methodology, work schedule/action plan and time line.
  • CVs of key persons involved and profile of similar assignments, if any.
  • Detailed financial proposal that outlines the detailed fees and associated costs including travel and accommodation, VAT & embaded TAX, preferred payment methods/schedules along with budget notes.
