IUT welcomes applications from qualified candidates for the following positions:

Salary & Allowances:

Associate Professor (P-1: US$ 960-48x16-1728)
Assistant Professor (S-4: US$ 640-32x16-1152)  
Lecturer (S-2: US$ 440-32x16-952)

plus housing allowance, transport allowance, spouse allowance, children allowance, educational allowance, medical benefits and end of service indemnity are available as per rules. Moreover, the successful candidate, if coming from other than Bangladesh, will be awarded expatriate allowance, passage and installation grants as applicable as per rule.

Required qualification and experience requirements for the above posts are furnished below: 

Associate Professor:

For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) and Ph.D. or an equivalent Degree in the relevant field from a recognized University / Institution plus 7 years of professional experience of which 3 years in active University teaching as Assistant Professor / Senior Lecturer or above and at least 4 research papers in a refereed journal.
OR

For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) and M.Sc. (CSE) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution plus 12 years of professional experience of which 6 years in active University teaching as Assistant Professor / Senior Lecturer or above and at least 4 research papers in refereed journal.

 

Assistant Professor:

For EEE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 4 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution or First Class M.Sc. Degree in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 4 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

OR

For EEE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience of which 1-year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution or First Class M.Sc. Degree in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience of which 1-year in the active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

OR

For EEE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and M.Sc. (Engg.) or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) and M.Sc. (CSE) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution plus 3 years of professional experience and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

OR

For EEE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and M.Sc. (Engg.) or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution plus 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.
For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) and M.Sc. (CSE) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution plus 2 years of professional experience of which 1 year  in active University teaching and at least 1 research paper in a refereed journal.

OR

For EEE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution.
For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in  CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution and Ph.D. or equivalent in the relevant stream from a recognized University / Institution.

Lecturer :

For EEE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. (Engg.) Degree or equivalent in the relevant branch of Engineering from a recognized University / Institution.

For CSE Department, the candidate must possess a First Class B.Sc. Degree in CSE (4 years programme) or an equivalent Degree from a recognized University / Institution or First Class M.Sc. Degree in the relevant branch from a recognized University / Institution. There should not be any third division / class at any level.
