IT and Database Administrator

The Government of Bangladesh joined IUCN as a State Member in 1972. IUCN started its operation in Bangladesh as a “liaison office” in 1989 and a fully operation Country Office was established in Bangladesh in 1992.

IUCN is seeking a qualified individual to join Bangladesh Country Office under the Community Based Sustainable Management of Tanguar Haor Project of the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Bangladesh.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Ensure all the computers of Tanguar Haor Project are functioning properly
  • Develop and maintain Tanguar Haor Project related databases and software
  • Project data backup for both country and field office staff of Tanguar Haor Project
  • Uploading Tanguar Haor Project related information to website on a regular basis
  • Maintain regular servicing of the operational device of the IT equipment
  • Updating the anti- virus regularly
  • Provide support in capacity building of using IT equipment
  • Keep informed and remain updated about latest virus information and provide necessary support
  • Assist IT support in arranging seminars, workshops, etc.
  • Assist in preparation of various presentation of project and present the same
  • Provide communication support to the Project Manager of Tanguar Haor Project for proper functioning of the IT equipment
  • Provide professional input in projects as assigned by Project Manager of Tanguar Haor Project from time to time
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of financial software related to the project
REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor or master degree in IT
  • At least 5 years of experiences in data base development and management

Type of Contract:

  • Fixed-term (Initially for 2 months, with possibility of renewal on the basis of availability of fund and performance)
