The Challenge TB (CTB) Project is the flagship global initiative for implementing USAID’s TB strategy and is being implemented in 22 countries including Bangladesh by a unique coalition of nine international organizations in TB control.  The CTB is being implemented in Bangladesh since 2014 and providing technical assistance to the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of Bangladesh (GoB). The current focus of the initiative is to lay strong ground for the Zero TB Cities Initiative recently launched by the MoHFW. As part of its urban focused activities, CTB is looking for a Program Officer.


Job Title : Program Officer 
Reports to : Child TB and PET Manager (Operations)
Job Location : Dhaka, Bangladesh
Project : USAID’s Challenge TB Project, Bangladesh


The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and evaluation of the field activities for implementation of child TB screening under the project funded by Challenge TB Bangladesh. S/he will also be responsible for compilation of project data and prepare project report on regular basis.


  • Set up the process indicators for the planned activities;
  • Keep track of the process indicators;
  • Monitor data collected daily, data quality and validity check;
  • Update the project data on a weekly or monthly basis;
  • Perform data analysis throughout the project period and prepare reports accordingly
  • Collection of NTP data from intervention population;
  • Establish relationships with NTP focal persons and other key stakeholders including partner NGOs;
  • Prepare project reports and presentation slides;
  • Identify the gaps and day to day challenges with field activities;
  • Coordinate regularly with other team members to accelerate planned activities in the field;
  • Perform other duties as required;

Required Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree with good academic records.


  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project implementation. Candidates with experience in the field of TB will be given preference.
  • Excellent oral presentation skills.
