Position Title: Assistant Sales Manager

Department: Sales & Marketing

Overall responsible for: Will be responsible for the identification, assessment, and allocation of ‘new’ high potential accounts for the Sales Team. The role includes generating market insight, competitor intelligence, development of sales tactics and strategies to support team members with their sales activities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate ‘new’ high potential accounts for Sales team members to manage and develop
  • Allocate and handover accounts identified accounts to appropriate sales team members
  • Monitor market trends and track competitor activity to support the Sales team members in their sales activities
  • Support sales team members in the development of sales tactics and strategies
  • Evaluate accounts according to methodology approved by IHG and submit to Director of Sales & Marketing for review
  • Share with sales team members up-to-date information of the market and competitor activity and how it can be used for selling activities
  • Client service skills and problem-solving abilities & organised and demonstrates good planning skills
  • Develops formal awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in local community
  • Communicate to his/her superior for any issues encountered or other relevant information
  • Should have coordination & supervision skills among team to support regular sales operations
  • Solicits and follows-up on business referrals and potential sales leads
  • Assist your superior to produce periodic reports and forecasts for the team
  • Ensure sufficient accounts in the pipeline
  • Ability to own promote brand standards in alignment with company vision
  • Good understanding of the hotel and hospitality business
  • Good speaking and writing in English
  • Any task as when required, not limited to

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Marketing, International Relation, Management. Masters in Marketing, International Relation, Management is preferred

Qualifications:

  • Leadership and organizational abilities
  • Ability to own and promote brand standards in alignment with company vision
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Delphi/Opera is an advantage

Experience: 2-3 Years related experience in similar position.

Age: 28 -32
