Position Title: F&B Administrator

Department: Food and Beverage

Overall responsible for: To assist the Director of Food and Beverage and Food & Beverage Manager on their daily tasks. To maintain good relations with the entire F&B Staff.  Keep track of functions in each and every outlet.  To maintain close liaison with other departments, especially Sales, Conference & Banqueting and Front Office.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervises the activities of all outlets.
  • Ensures that operational equipment is maintained in adequate working order.
  • Assists outlet managers with staff training and product knowledge.
  • Coordinates the day-to-day F&B operations.
  • Implements SOP’s with approval of F&B director and controls SOP’s in all F&B outlets.
  • Welcomes walk-in guests inquiring about conference rooms and banqueting facilities on absence of sales people.
  • Reports all discrepancies noticed during service to the concerned outlet manager and records them for F&B director.
  • Controls that the hotel standards are respected on F&B service level.
  • Handles guests’ requests, reservations coming through the F&B office.
  • Works along with outlet managers to prepare special events.
  • Works in the restaurant outlets on absence of the managers or during busy times.
  • Elaborates projects assigned in order to improve the overall F&B service.
  • Knows the departmental goals, standards, policies and procedures which may include some familiarity of other departments within the hotel.
  • Co-operate with the company to achieve compliance with FLS legislation.
  • Take moral and legal responsibility for conducting themselves in their work so they do not expose themselves or others to risk.
  • Not undertake any activity which compromises their personal FLS, or the FLS of others.
  • Report all accidents, dangerous occurrences, or hazards, no matter how minor, to the supervisor or Heads of Department.
  • Comply with hotel rules and regulations and provisions contained in the employment handbook. 
  • Comply with company grooming standards at all times to portray a professional image of self and the hotel.
  • Comply with time and attendance policies set by the hotel.
  • Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development.
  • Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to health, hygiene and fire life safety.
  • Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures.
  • Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the line manager.
  • Comply with the company’s corporate code of conduct.
  • Familiarize self with the company values (Great Hotels Guests Love) and model desired behaviors (Winning Ways, Room to be Yourself) and ways of working (IHG Wheel).
  • Perform all tasks as directed by the manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals.
  • Any task as and when required, not limited to.

Experience: 2 years related experience in a 5* Hotel/ luxury properties.

Age: 25 -30

Physical Features: Sound Health & Energetic.

Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated ability of interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
  • Good understanding of the hotel and hospitality business
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities
  • Good in the use of Microsoft Office.

Others: Needs to be positive minded & self motivated and willing to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Salary: As per company policy.
