Major Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director and working in close coordination with Adviser, Academic Affairs, the Manager, Academic Program Cluster plays a pivotal role in the overall management of BIGD’s Academic Cluster and its diverse range of activities. BIGD currently runs three masters programs and a range of short courses.  

  • To lead the day to day operations, admission and induction, faculty search and selection, class scheduling and supervision, teaching evaluation, student relations and counseling service of the academic programs
  • As a member of the BIGD Academic Cluster, provide strategic inputs and ensure that activities of the academic cluster are integrated within the overall strategic and day to day affairs of BIGD
  • To ensure quality and integrity in the delivery of academic services and programs including appropriate measures for combating unethical practices (e.g. plagiarism); regular meetings and consultation with the faculty; and enforcement of BRAC University policies, discipline and standards
  • To maintain regular contact and liaison with existing and former students, facilitate various alumni activities and organization, and reach out to prospective students and institutional sources
  • To effectively promote the academic programs and reach out to the wider community through appropriate means including social media
  • To supervise and manage the relevant staff of the Academic Cluster as a line manager
  • To maintain relevant documentation, record, and routine paper work

Educational and curricular requirements: Post graduate degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in program management, preferably with academic program management skills.

  • Excellent oral and written English skills.
  • Managerial and organizing skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Independent enough to work with minimal supervision
  • General Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and perform under pressure
  • S/he should have a practical and flexible approach to duties and have excellent time management skills.
  • Expected to maintain good interpersonal relations with fellow researchers and staff members.

Job Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Salary (monthly): We are willing to pay a salary commensurate with your skills and qualifications.

Job Nature: Full time contractual
