Major Responsibilities

This is a new strategic leadership role. Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with all the cluster leads, your responsibilities will include:

New business development 

  • Donor mapping and ongoing scanning for funding opportunities that match the priority research areas of BIGD.
  • Proactive facilitation of project and proposal development by bringing together different functions, playing a supporting role and ensuring quality of submission 
  • Representing BIGD and building relationships for new business development

Knowledge Management

  • Lead development and delivery of a knowledge management strategy 
  • Develop a research communication strategy for BIGD with an objective of maximizing the policy impact.
  • Develop high quality and research centered knowledge and communications products 
  • Design and deliver high quality, engaging and innovative events 
  • Make presentations and represent BIGD in different forums.
  • Any other relevant task assigned by the ED. 

Educational Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • At least 5 - 6 years working experience in the field of new business development and research fund raising, research communication and networking at national, regional or international levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, dynamic and innovative individuals will be given preference.

Other Essential Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written English skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and with senior researchers and external stakeholders
  • Independent to work with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional ability to handle multiple concurrent projects and perform under pressure
  • S/he should have a practical and flexible approach to duties and have excellent time management skills.
  • Expected to maintain good interpersonal relations with fellow researchers and staff members.

Job Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Salary (monthly): We are willing to pay a salary commensurate with your skills and qualifications.

Job Nature: Full time contractual
