American Red Cross of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is seeking an Admin and Logistics Assistant Officer to support the Cox’s Bazar Sub-Office.

The Admin and Logistics Assistant Officer will provide day-to-day administrative and logistics support to the programs in Cox’s Bazar. This will include travel arrangements, fleet management, procurement, security, etc.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Arrange travel, lodging, transportation, and other assistance for staff and visitors as needed;
  • Update the travel tracker regularly.

Procurement and Inventory:

  • Manage procurement for the Cox’s Bazar Sub-Office, and ensure that purchases and procurement comply with IFRC and American Red Cross procurement policy and procedures;
  • Organize storage, security and transportation of project materials to distribution sites with the necessary supporting documentation;
  • Manage inventory of all non-expendable assets such as IT equipment;
  • Order and track supplies, ensuring basic stocks of office and cleaning supplies are always available;
  • Ensure proper filing of all documents related to procurement, logistics, transportation and such;
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive, efficient filing system for vendor contacts and transactions to enable effective vendor management and audit readiness.


  • Provide logistical support and administration for special events, meetings, trainings, workshops, and so on;
  • Manage and coordinate staff's vehicle requests and maintain all vehicle documents;
  • Arrange timely vehicle maintenance, vehicle registration, and insurance renewals;
  • Ensure that all invoices are verified and submitted to Finance in a timely manner so that payments can be made efficiently;
  • Assist with correspondence, small translating tasks, managing larger translating tasks using service provider(s), copying and printing documents as needed.


  • Assist in collection and maintenance of staff time sheets as required;
  • Supervise support staff such as drivers and cleaners;
  • Assist with arrangement and contracting of office services such as cleaning, IT, fuel, water, internet, telecom, and sanitation.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject


  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in working with local communities, civil society, partners, and government officials
  • Experience in working for a Humanitarian organisation and/or the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of general administration and procurements
  • Knowledge of operational manual, guideline and tools
  • Able to influence, communicate, co-operate and negotiate with a wide range of people and organizations

Fluency in English and Bangla.
