IFES promotes democratic stability by providing technical assistance and applying field-based research to the electoral cycle in countries around the world to enhance citizen participation and strengthen civil societies, governance and transparency.

IFES invites applications for the following position:

Trainer - Message Development Workshop

Based in Dhaka; open to Bangladesh residents only. The position is a short-term contract (3-4 days) with the possibility of extension. Please include your daily rate with your application.

Responsibilities:

  • Based on IFES materials, tailor curriculum on message development for a workshop centered on creating a common advocacy platform for peaceful elections;
  • Conduct 1 1/2-day workshop for 10-20 women in Bangla, with translations to and from English as necessary;
  • Write workshop report in English;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Bangla required;
  • At least 5 years of experience as a trainer;
  • Experience with advocacy and message development for CSOs;
  • Experience with issues related to peace, conflict and elections/democratic governance;
  • Experience working with women’s organizations;
  • Excellent facilitation skills.
