Managing Director (2,5 days per week)

Urgent position

Reports to: Board members and Chairman

Level: Senior Level

I. Job Context:
Agribusiness Booster (AbB) Bangladesh Ltd. is a Netherlands based impact-investment company from ICCO Group in the Netherlands to work with pre –growth agri-SMEs in emerging markets like Bangladesh. Through a tailor-made set of investments and business development services, these companies are grown to full business maturity to increase overall social impact. The unique ‘Co-entrepreneurship’ model will strive to improve economic viability of SMEs through technical assistance, training, and the use of financial services.
The Managing Director is senior level part time position and will be responsible mainly for the management and growth of the business and the mentoring of staff.

II.            Responsibilities and Tasks:  

Responsibility :

• S/he would be able to engage ABB Bangladesh with consultants and specialists in specific agro sectors to cross check the business concept of the entrepreneurs.
• Budget approval and donor budget tracking.
• S/he would also act as mentor and coach to ABB staff to develop knowledge in the areas of impact investment/ sustainable development, linking them with people/institutions who can help in these areas.
• Provide strategic vision to grow AbB as a Company.
• Involved in the policy and procedure development.
• Involved in the process of hiring/firing of staff.
• Suggest / implement improvements in day to day operational activities

V.    Key Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a relevant subject, preferably Development Study, Business Development, Economics, Public Relations any reputed university.
• At least 10  years’ experience in the related field.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skill, problem solving skills, strong value based commitment to right based approach
• Good computer skills in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Bangla, including ability to present coherent and convincing messages to different audiences.
• Good leadership ability to lead & motivate the subordinates
• Good business sense and professional & progressive attitude.
