Finance & Admin Officer
Location: Dhaka Reports to: Business Development Manager of AbB Bangladesh
Nature of Job: Full time   Level: Junior level

I. Job Context:

Agribusiness Booster  (AbB) Bangladesh Ltd. is a Netherlands based impact-investment company form ICCO Group in the Netherlands in strong cooperation with AbB Bangladesh to work pre –growth agri-SMEs in emerging markets like Bangladesh. Through a tailor-made set of investments and business development services, these companies are grown to full business maturity to increase overall social impact. The unique ‘Co-entrepreneurship’ model will strive to improve economic viability of SMEs through technical assistance, training, and the use of financial services.

The Finance & Admin Officer is responsible for ensuring support to the Finance /Administration of AbB Bangladesh Ltd.

II.            Responsibilities and Tasks:  

Responsibility :

  • Ensure the overall responsibility of the AbB Bangladesh Ltd financial management including financial control.
  • Preparation of annual accounts for audit and back donor reporting
  • Checking all bill before final payment and monthly salary process.
  • Daily petty cash maintains and reconcile and approved by Management.
  • Assist in ensure the timely payment of all bills and invoices including rent, with the proper authorization and coding.
  • Data posting in Accounting software (Sage 300), data verify and preparing the vouchers.
  • Deal with the bank and keeping a track of funds flow.
  • Collect bank statement and prepare Bank reconciliation every month.
  • Assist in prepare accurate and timely vouchers and proper records filing and retention.
  • Assist to maintain cheque register & Bank book and collect cash from the bank.
  • Maintain cash book and Responsible for the management of petty cash,
  • Identifying Govt. Vat & Tax and maintain separate register as per company requirement.
  • Maintain advance register and ensure timely adjustment of advance.
  • Maintain cashbook and ledger, cash holdings, prepare monthly bank reconciliation and monthly report to Head of Finance
  • Prepare monthly financial status (expense summary report) and report to Head of Finance
  • Prepare expense summary report as per donor requirement and submit to Business Development Manager of AbB

Additional Requirement:

  • Ensure that the office systems and procedures are in place in line with AbB requirements,
  • Assist in all sorts of Procurement-Quotation collection, comparative, work order, delivery receipt and handover.
  • Maintain inventory (Stationery) of Dhaka AbB office.
  • Review vehicle logbook, overtime of admin support staff before submit in accounts.
  • Arrange meeting, workshop and conference and ensure required logistic.
  • Assist in maintain an effective filing system of staffs’ leave record, personal file, volunteer’s records and other administrative file.
  • Keep records of all incoming and outgoing post,
  • Support all other activities when necessary
