This position will be for 6 months, up to December 31, 2018.

Overview:

IBTCI is currently seeking a Knowledge Management Coordinator for a six-month contract to serve under the ACME activity in Bangladesh.  The KM Coordinator will be responsible for gathering and disseminating knowledge produced by the project and ensuring that information is readily available and usable to ACME staff, home office personnel, USAID and its implementing partners in Bangladesh.  A key responsibility will be to produce a video and success stories to document IBTCI’s achievements over the life of the project.

Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:  

  • Prepare brief write ups and presentations to effectively summarize technical materials.
  • Format style sheets in MS Word.
  • Create graphics from formatted data in Excel.
  • Represent IBTCI and the ACME project in public meetings.
  • In collaboration with team leads, collect documentation produced by project activities.
  • Ensure all documentation is accessible for technical team members and properly archived.
  • Maintain the project’s internal share drive, photo library and external SharePoint drive.
  • Conduct independent research on implementing partner’s websites and through telephone to collect project documents, names and contact information of key personnel and project events.
  • Maintain complete and accurate database of all project specific documents produced by ACME, as well as selected documents from implementing partners supported by the project.
  • Produce a brief video that captures IBTCI’s key accomplishments under the ACME project.
  • Produce success stories and brief narrative summary sheets that highlight accomplishments in critical areas of support to the USAID Mission.
  • Coordinate reporting, working with technical staff to produce quarterly and annual reports.
  • Prepare agendas, background, reference and/or training materials and presentations.
  • Respond to information requests from the home office, implementing partners and USAID regarding project details and materials produced by ACME.
  • Facilitate exchange of knowledge and information between USAID and its implementing partners and key stakeholders.
  • Any other duties as assigned. 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability with MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strict attention to detail.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of KM experience and familiarity with Google Docs and KM software applications required.
  • Previous experience taking high quality pictures and preparing videos required.
  • Working knowledge of USAID’s branding and documentation guidelines required.
  • Oral and written fluency in English required.

Education:  Master’s degree in business, international affairs or other related field required.

Working Environment:  Work is typically performed in an office environment.

Physical Requirements:  This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

Supervisory Responsibility:  This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Travel: Domestic travel required, approximately 20%.
