Job Description / Responsibility

• providing significant contribution towards the evaluation, critiquing and communication of important medical / scientific information related to a company's products,
• Help training and supporting the sales force,
• provides an authoritative opinion regarding medical based questions, legal and regulatory matters thus enabling colleagues to comply with the required statutory requirements,
• providing support to the marketed drug, which also involves providing authentic and evidence-based information about their products to the Key Opinion Leaders and consumers,
• provide the medical viewpoint in marketing strategy and promotion,
• Act as the Medical conscience of the company,
• Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings.
• Coordinate and participate in promotional activities and trade shows,
• Conduct economic and commercial surveys to identify potential markets for products
• Provide a medical perspective to product development.

Some main expectations from a Medical Advisor are to:

• Work with the marketing department to develop marketing strategies and materials,
• Work closely with the medical information teams to make sure that information about all the company's products are available and current,
• Provide support to regulatory affairs department for obtaining applicable product licenses if required,
• Conduct analysis of competitors products as well as own product pipeline,
• Work with medical / technical writers for creation of marketing material, package inserts.

Educational Requirements

• MBBS from any accredited Medical College

Experience Requirements

• Minimum  5-7 years experience in a reputed pharmaceutical company
