Our product range consists of more than 30,000 different articles that are all designed and developed in-house by the HEMA team. To facilitate this, HEMA has its own buying offices in China, Hong Kong and Dhaka, Bangladesh.

For our Dhaka office we are searching for high qualified candidates for the position of:

Merchandiser – Home Textiles / Home Decoration

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and monitoring of the product development process with suppliers and head office;
• Coordinating buying trips from head office;
• Order follow up with suppliers;
• Support in administrative and filing activities;
• Monitoring supplier performance.

Requirements:

• Graduated from any recognized university. Education in (textile) management is preferred;
• 3–5 years merchandising experience in a multinational buying office, most preferable for a European retailer;
• Self-motivated, a team player, open-minded with strong negotiation and communication skills;
• Pro-active and well organized;
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Bangla;
• Strong computer skills;
• Able to work under pressure.
