Habitat for Humanity International (“HFHI”) is a non-profit ecumenical Christian organisation dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and homelessness worldwide and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat for Humanity is founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, decent, affordable place to live in dignity and safety. Habitat for Humanity Bangladesh (HFHB) is a relativity small operation dedicated to the eradication of substandard housing and homelessness. HFHB will implement a project “Supporting the Enabling Environment for better WaSH services in Northern Bangladesh” for the period up to June 2017 funded by AusAid and looking for interested and qualified candidates for the following position under the project.

Project Accounts Officer (One position based in Mymensingh)

Ensure efficient financial management of the project under guidance of Project Manager and Finance Manager   Comply donor regulation as well as country regulation   Maintain Financial Record   Data entry in software as well as in other manual register and excel sheet   Prepare various report as needed   Assist other colleagues in maintaining policy compliance   Provide technical assistance in procurement   Perform and monitor all financial activities of the project implemented in Mymensingh, Modhupur-Tangail and Durgapur-Netrokuna

Requirements:

·The ideal person should have Masters in Accounting required. CACC is preferable with 2-3 years of working experience in similar position preferably with a Development Organization; · Advance skills on MS Excel and MS Word · Good communication skills in both English & Bengali · Willingness to visit field frequently · Maintain  high morale integrity and honesty · Capacity to handle multi tasks & prioritize job responsibilities · Team player and quality to maintain high level of friendly, gentle and polite communication with staff and stakeholders.
