Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian and development non-governmental organization in General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC)GNB is operating 14 Community Development Project (CDP)s in 10 districts on child protection, education, health, women empowerment, income generating activities, emergency response, ICT Education Project & Rohingya Emergency Project (RERP). Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) intends to recruit suitable personnel for the following position:

Position: Outreach Officer (Male)

Vacancy: 02 person

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree from any govt. recognized university and having 6 months experience on relevant field.

Job Location:

  • Ukhia, Cox’s Bazar

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a positive and fruitful relationship with men, majhi, religious leader, adolescent boys, and overall community.
  • Carry out community sensitization, awareness raising activities in the camps.
  • Provide referrals service to men and boys to other referral service post.
  • Closely work with the Sr. PSS officer and GBV program manager in the formation of the adolescent boys group.
  • Carry out weekly adolescent boys and men sessions as agreed plan
  • Plan and implement agreed project activities with support from supervisor and Sr. PSS Officer
  • Ensure that a psychosocial approach/perspective is employed in all work activities and decisions and that these reflect the priorities and best interests of targeted community.
  • Ensure that all program activities create a neutral and supportive environment for targeted beneficiary.
  • Ability to work with priorities the workload of multiple clients.
  • Ability to work with disengaged men who have experienced trauma.
  • Strong case management skills and working with complex issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of staff, clients and other service providers
  • To ensure that all duties are carried out to the highest standard and in accordance with GBV standards.
  • To plan, monitor and present cases in order to ensure high standards of documentation and communication regarding outcome decisions.
  • To develop and co-facilitate support groups, working closely with team and partners in the community.
  • To act as a positive role model showing professional and caring attitudes and behavior towards other team members, partners, service users and carriers.
  • To work in a way that acknowledges the personal, social, cultural and spiritual strengths and needs of the individual.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree and 6-month experience in relevant field.
  • Have practical experience in humanitarian related work.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience working with multi culture communities.
  • Can follow the working plan and program implements
  • Committed to GNB Core Values and Mission Statement.
  • Must know Chitagangiya/Rohingya language.
  • Newly graduated female candidates are also encouraged to apply.

Salary Range: BDT. 35,000-40,000/-

Staff Category: Contractual for 6 months

Age: 28-32
