Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian and development non-governmental organization in General Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). GNB is operating 14 Community Development Project (CDP)s in 10 districts on child protection, education, health, women empowerment, income generating activities, emergency response, ICT Education Project & Rohingya Emergency Project (RERP). Good Neighbors Bangladesh (GNB) intends to recruit suitable personnel for the following position:

Position: GBV Program Manager

Vacancy: 01 person

Educational Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree on sociology/social welfare from any govt. recognized university and having 2 years’ experience in relevant field.

Job Location:

  • Cox’s Bazar

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead GBV program and staffs to the Rohingya crisis in Cox’s Bazar.
  • Work with teams and communities to develop appropriate prevention and awareness-raising/behavior change strategies
  • Train GBV staff to become leaders of GBV prevention and response. Depending on skill sets and required roles, trainings may include: gender, guiding principles of addressing GBV, GBV case management, referral pathway development, facilitation skills, mobilization, etc.
  • Contribute to information-sharing and data management systems
  • Compile monthly and quarterly reports, on time and with accurate data
  • Coordinate with local and international NGOs, UN agencies and other stakeholders to ensure holistic support for survivors, including participation in strengthening GBV SOPs and referral pathways
  • Ensure maximum visibility of the agency amongst the N/INGO’s and community
  • Contribute to the positive image and overall credibility of the organization, notably through the application of the organization’s Code of Conduct
  • Assist in the selection, training and support of qualified program staff
  • Provide technical support on the design of services and activities for women/adolescent girls and support its program staffs and organization.
  • Provide technical support to ensure program quality, regular monitoring of case management, outreach and PSS services under the program.
  • Regularly attend GBV sub-sector and site management meeting.
  • Concern about filed challenges and keep relation with relevant stockholders to ensure activities smooth implementation.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must have 2 years’ experience in relevant field.
  • Experience in GBV program design and implementation including at least 6 months humanitarian experience.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Supervisory experience
  • Have good leadership, people management, coaching, mentoring, and team building skills.
  • Strong problem identification, analytical and solving skills.
  • Experience working with communities and local governments, INGOs and other key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members.
  • Committed to GNB Core Values and Mission Statement.
  • Ability to report 5w report bi-weekly.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Computer skills. (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of projects cycle management.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all staff and other key partners.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.

Salary Range: BDT. 100,000-105,000/=

Staff Category: Contractual for 6 months

Age: 35-40
