Aiming for a fairer and greener textile industry in Asia, the GIZ FABRIC project brings together diverse stakeholders – factories, ministries, NGOs, and brands – to collaborate on sustainable solutions Bangladesh, Cambodia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Vietnam, and China. The project initiates regional networks and promotes and facilitates a close exchange and sharing of knowledge, it cooperates with international buyers and brands to use their market power to foster sustainability, it supports the implementation of environmental and social standards in the sector.

The project facilitates knowledge sharing and empower local producers through initiatives like the "Climate Action Training (CAT)." This training equips producers with the tools to assess their greenhouse gas emissions and develop reduction plans, driving climate- friendly and resource-efficient production.

In the web-based CAT, digital learning materials and course modules were created with the aim of giving local producers a more comprehensive understanding of how to assess and calculate greenhouse gas emissions in their production and how to develop an action plan to achieve these reductions. Subsequently, during the second phase of FABRIC, the project updated the content on the CAT to ensure to have integrated the latest topics, data and resources around climate change.
