Established in 1953, Family Planning Association of Bangladesh (FPAB) is one of the oldest and largest NGO in Bangladesh working to improve sexual and reproductive health status of the Bangladeshi people. FPAB is the Member Association of International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), a global service provider and a leading advocate of sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all.

FPAB is looking for a dynamic person who can work under extreme pressure both independently and in a team to fill up the post of Program Officer (Resource Mobilization).

Job Location: Dhaka with field visit at different part of the country

Educational Requirements:

Master’s degree in Social Science/Economics/English/Development Studies and other relevant subject from any reputed public university and private University. S/he should have an excellent command over English. Candidates medium of instruction both at Bachelor and Master’s level must be English (IELTS 6.5 overall band with no band below 6 is highly desirable).

Experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in proposal development, grant writing, and social research (For highly skilled persons experience may be relaxed).

  • The post holder must be able to think out of box, work independently with minimum supervision.

Job Description / Responsibility

  • Identification and mapping of institutional, foundation and individual funding sources.
  • Prepare Concept Note, Project Proposal, and Expression of Interest (EOI) along with budget and budget narrative/justification.
  • Prepare and implement resource mobilization strategy
  • Establish and maintain liaison with different national and international partners and donors, develop MoU with different government and non-government organizations, for new project
  • Participate and provide support to the development and implementation of resource mobilization and partnership development strategies.
  • Contract negotiation and drafting and revision of agreements with donors
  • Identification and synthesis of best practices and lessons learned directly linked to resource mobilization and partnership-building activities.
  • Documents and tracks innovative strategies/best practices/new approaches
  • Support project implementation team for proper and timely implementation

Age limit:

  • Maximum 35 years

Salary Range

  • TK. 27,500 per month (Negotiable for outstanding candidates)

Other Benefits 

This is a core position at the Resource Mobilization Department. In addition to salary, other admissible benefits will be provided as per organizational policy. Candidates will be offered training and capacity building opportunities both in and outside Bangladesh. Candidates who receive any foreign training will have to sign a bond to serve FPAB for at least one year after completing the training.
