Position Title : Data /Health Information System (HIS) Officer (1)

Supports : Data Clerks at the pharmacy and nurses or other assigned staff at the Satellite clinics

Position Summary: The Construction Supervisor (4) will support FH/MTI project activities under in Kutupalong Extension camp. FH/MTI will expand health clinic infrastructure to provide an extensive and coherent health service to Rohingya refugees. Four health clinics are to be constructed across central zones of Kutupalong, and FH/MTI existing health clinics will be restructured to host inpatient and overnight facilities.

FH/MTI provides 60+ Rohingya peoples, a stipend to provide community and construction services. The Construction Supervisor will manage direct labour under the guidance of the Medical Coordinator.


Key Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Extract data from the Out-Patient Department (OPD) registers into weekly reports from January 2018 to date in a timely and accurate manner
  • Keep accurate and safe record keeping in soft and hard copies for health information
  • Supporting updating and maintaining the Health Information System
  • Collecting and analyzing data from OPD registers for all health facilities
  • Implementing measures for maintaining data security
  • Imparting knowledge and skills to staff on information and data management
  • Compiling and submitting reports on Health Information System
  • Managing and accounting for allocated resources.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Medical coordinator

Skills

  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Excel
  • Knowledge of statistics; knowledge of health/biostatistics is a requirement
  • Familiarity with Health Information Systems (HIS) and Early Warning Alert and Response System (EWARS)
  • English competency
  • Language Bengali (Chittagong dialect)/ Rohingya

Educational Qualifications

  • Essential, degree/diploma in Health Information Management Information Systems (HIMS), Information Technology (IT), or Statistics

Experience:  

  • Essential 2-3 years’ experience with records and data management using HISO in Primary Health Care or secondary health care
  • Experience working with government DHIS is an added advantage
  • Strong computer application skills
  • English level 2 (B1 Independent)
