Assistant Registrar (Administration)

Job Context:

Feni University is looking for an energetic, ambitious and professional individual for the Assistant Registrar position for immediate appointment. The Assistant Registrar is responsible for the day to day management and coordination of activities of the Registrar’s Office. The position provides direct support to the Registrar’s Office and must understand and represent the position and priorities of the Registrar. He will work under the direct control of the Registrar.

Job Description / Responsibilities

Job Description / Responsibilities of Assistant Registrar included, but not limited to:

  • Be responsible for the provision of administrative support to the concerned authorities of the university;
  • Provide quality service to all stakeholders;
  • Writes and prepares correspondence, reports, presentations and other documents on behalf of the Registrar;
  • Provides information regarding policies, standard practices, procedures and collective agreements to identify and support resolution of issues;
  • Responds to inquiries and resolves issues with students and staff;
  • Manages the calendar of the Registrar including arranging appointments and meetings, ascertaining the purpose of the same identifying priorities, providing background material, and booking meeting rooms, organizing workflow activities;
  • Initiates all sort of files, make draft and maintain updated administrative filing system;
  • Attends meetings, records and distributes minutes;
  • Coordinates activities and maintains a monthly and yearly timetable for the Registrar’s Office;
  • Responds to clients in crisis or distress and provides appropriate information or resolves the issues;
  • Prepare all notices, working papers, and proceedings of the Academic Council, Syndicate and BoT Meeting.
  • Do all the required and related activities as assigned by the higher authority;

Job Nature: Permanent

Educational Requirements

  • Master degree in any discipline preferably from public university.
  • No 3rd Division/Class at any level will be entertained

Experience Requirements

  • At least 03 years professional job experience preferably in University.

Additional Job Requirements….

  • Independent Bengali and English drafting, typing and IT knowledge regarding word, Excel, Power point and Email operating.
  • Able to manage any type of administrative activities individually.
