Our client, a major Healthcare Social Enterprise (HSE) operating all over Bangladesh, is seeking applications from interested and eligible candidates for the following position.

Sr. Officer/Executive-IT

Job Location: Dhaka

Number of Vacancies: 1(one)

General Summary:

The Sr. Officer/Executive- IT will be responsible for supporting the Manager IT in all aspects of IT operations within the HSE network that includes procurement and maintenance of IT related equipment’s and supplies, support the preparation of MIS, Administrative and other reports, trouble shooting, web site management, set up computers and provide IT orientation to new employees, ensure back up support, software development when needed etc.

Reporting to:

Reports to Manager-IT at the HSE HQ
Other major interactions: CMO, other Divisional Heads, Departmental Heads, Admin Manager, Accounts Manager, Regional Managers, Clinic Managers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and maintain organizational Local Area Network (LAN) System and Microsoft Windows applications.
  2. Maintain, patch, and upgrade servers, operating systems, databases, printers, laptops and desktop computers.
  3. Configure servers, firewall, switches, and other networked equipment.
  4. Plan, direct, and coordinate recordkeeping, mail distribution, telephone operations, and other office support services.
  5. Maintain inventory of IT supplies and equipment.
  6. Liaison with IT contracted firms in each region to ensure prompt resolution of hardware and software related problems at the regional and clinic levels.
  7. Prepares IT reports and schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  8. Perform tasks related to scheduled service requests, including equipment replacement, equipment installation/de‐installation, and software installation and updates.
  9. Safeguard and ensure the integrity of computer systems. Ensure data security.
  10. Perform regular backup of data, restores, and performs disaster recovery. Ensure up‐to‐date virus protection.
  11. Troubleshoot and resolve technical computer‐related problems including software, hardware and network maintenance issues.
  12. Diagnose and resolve end‐user network or local printer problems, PC hardware problems and e‐mail, internet, remote access, and local‐area network access problems.
  13. Maintain record of data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.
  14. Add and terminate system users as needed; assigning rights and access to the system; resetting passwords.
  15. Travel to Regional offices and clinics for troubleshooting of IT related issues.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in IT Infrastructure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
  • Experience with Linus, Cisco Devices and Windows Server.
  • Should have experience with LAN/WAN management, IPTSP System, Attendance device management. Wi-Fi device, CCTV, DVR & IP Camera management.
  • Must have a clear knowledge of IP networks and data communication.
  • Should have knowledge of Hardware, Software, Printers (Network), Scanner, UPS (Online and Offline), network upgrades, installation, re-installation, changes and re-locations.
  • A good understanding of general IT products, peripherals and technologies including Internet, servers and network technologies (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VPN).
  • Experience in ISP/ IT Company/ Large Corporate House highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in verbal and written English and Bangla, lead presentations, training courses, and meetings.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Bangladesh
