Title: Area Manager

The Area Manager is the key person of the Area consisting of several Divisions, each Division headed by a Divisional Manager.  The Area Manager reports to the “Senior Manager, Sales & Distribution” in the Head Office, who in turn reports directly to the Managing Director.

Job Level: Senior Mid Level position in the Company

Area Manager is expected to:

• Be responsible for exploring untouched sales pockets through extensive field mobility, expand sales territories, troubleshooting and removing discrepancies in fields sales operation
• To monitor competitor’s activities, program and product profiles and suggest due strategic issues to top management
• To monitor, control and supplement the activities of Divisional Managers, provide guidance to ensure proper stock, cash remittance, documentation, promotional program, expansion of territories and mobility of field sales team are of maximum level
• To initiate and implement nationwide Consumer and Trade promotion and Regional and other promotional program as may be decided by the management
• To develop and maintain relationship with business, social and other organizations of mutual interest and benefit (specially for promotional program).

Education & Experience:

• Tertiary level education in Business/Marketing or related discipline
• Matured level experience, (at least 12 years experience in field sales management / operation of reputed FMCG Brand) in Managerial capacity of which at least 03 years as Area/Regional Manager.

Additional Job Requirements:

• Age 35 to 45 years (May be relaxed in case of extraordinary one)
• Should be proactive & self-organized person with long career commitment
• Must be  self-driven and with excellent inter-personal skills
• Must have good report writing skills and good computer literacy.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary Range: Take Home amount Taka 70,000 – 80,000/- per month during the six months’ probation, after which a higher salary will be fixed depending on the competency level.
• Festival bonus, Contributory Provident Fund, Gratuity, Medical & Hospitalization benefit for self and immediate dependent etc upon service confirmation.
• Full time car with driver.
• Travelling and daily allowances as admissible.

Job Location: Anywhere in Bangladesh, at some Divisional or important District Headquarter.
