English in Action (EIA) is a nine-year English language education programme implemented through a partnership between the UK Government and the Government of Bangladesh. The goal of EIA is to contribute to the economic growth of Bangladesh by providing English as a tool for better access to the world economy. EIA works to reach millions of learner through communicative language learning techniques and use of ICT and supplementary materials in an innovative way. The project is implemented and managed by BMB Mott MacDonald through a project team operating in Bangladesh.

English in Action hereby invites qualified and capable vendors to submit their response to this general Expression of Interest for the supply of goods (particular) and/or services. This is a request for Expression of Interest in order to identify and select the qualified and interested companies/agencies in participating in the future solicitations of English in Action project.

Category “A” for Services

• Rent-a-Car Supplies
  
• Travel Agency
  
• Printing & Designing Agencies & Printers: books, calendar, posters, flash cards and communication materials etc.
  
• Audio- and visual/filming, documentary production, editing
  
• Hotels / Conference and meeting rooms/venues (including food and other services)
  
• Supply, maintenance and installation of electrical equipment, painting and renovation
  
• Transportation/logistics/warehousing
  
• Vehicle maintenance
  
• Security services

Category “B” for Goods

• ICT Equipment supplies and servicing
  
• Office furniture suppliers
  
• Office stationary and supplies

Document comprising the EOI

The proposal shall comprise the following documents:

• Copy of Trade License
  
• Copy of VAT registration certificate
  
• Copy of TIN certificate
  
• Client list with two reference (work related)
  
• Copy of Environmental policy (not obligatory, but preferable)

Submission of Expression of Interest:

Shortlisted company/agencies will be notified by email from the contracting authority within 20 days of submission of Expression of Interest (EOI), and final enlisted agencies will be given specific terms of reference for specific assignment or service, to submit technical and financial proposals.

The contracting authority preserves the right to enlist or not to enlist any company/agency without giving any explanation to any vendor, supplier or their legal representative.

Expression of Interest must be received by the contracting authority at the address specified below, or by email to procurement@eiabd.com, not later than 5:00 pm 10 February 2015. The tenderer shall seal the envelop and mark with “Expression of Interest for providing goods/services for [to be replaced with category of goods/services, e.g. Office supplies, or Travel]. The name, address, and contact number of the tenderer should be clearly indicated on the envelope. Address to: Manager Administration, English in Action, House-1, Road-80, Gulshan-2, and Dhaka-1212.
