Educo Bangladesh is looking for a Manager, Resource Mobilization

Education and Development Foundation-Educo is an International NGO that acts on behalf of children to defend their rights, especially, the rights to receive quality education. It was founded on February 24, 1994 in Barcelona, Spain and has been working in Bangladesh since 1999.

In Bangladesh, Educo currently has its geographical intervention in Dhaka, Narayanganj, Gazipur, Mymensingh and Moulvi Bazar. With its primary focus on quality education initiatives besides organization also implements community-based activities in the areas of Health, Livelihood, Child Rights Governance and Protection. The organization is involved in different networks and alliances to promote child rights and Protection through advocacy and lobbying.

Working Conditions The position will be Country Office based but required to field visit minimum 20% of working time.
Purpose Update country’s resource mobilization strategy and approach in collaboration with region and head quarter that align with the donor’s interest and priority. Also Explore and map the donors, build relations with the donors and corporate bodies, prepare related documents to obtain resource  and capacitate in house team to meet the resource requirements.
Engagement Keep and enhance committed relationship with institutional, foundations and corporate donors (local and international) through whatever means is appropriate.
Connect with the multi-disciplinary program teams and other relevant department to obtain necessary support to make the resource mobilization department functioning consistently.
Delivery The Resource Mobilization  Manager will assist the Director Resource Mobilization and Visibility for overall administration of resources ensuring support to projects of Educo Bangladesh and to meet HO/donors’ requirements of quality reporting and queries. He/ She will update the donor mapping and prepare an effective resource management tools such as operational manuals, policies and regulations update regularly to be consistent with donors’ funding trends, Assist the program team in budget preparation especially that related to external fund. Meet the deadline of submission of concept note/project proposal with collaboration of other team members of Educo.

  • Draft resource mobilization strategy in consideration of Educo’s organizational strategy and donors’ preference to mobilize fund internationally and locally.

2. Exploration and obtain fund
  • Analyze different donors  prospects , their  priorities that align with Educo’s strategic goal ; to produce extensive institutional donor profiles;
  • Evaluate prospects for corporate, foundation, and government resources.
  • Explore upcoming opportunities and bring it to the attention of the team (local & regional) for decision of next steps.
  • Develop and foster relationships with institutional funders to ensure their attention.

3. Proposal writing and document preparation
  • Lead different program team for proposal development and review processes, ensuring inputs happen in timely and effective manner. 
  • Develop concept note, project proposal in collaboration with program and finance & admin team.
  • Provide advice on donor compliance requirements to ensure high quality proposals.

4. Resource Management and portfolio management
  • Ensure resources management strategy and approaches are successfully implemented.
  • Interpret fundamental donor regulations and requirements and apply them to specific situations for timely resolution to key award issues.

5. Monitoring and  analysing
  • Co-ordinate with respective program team in order to ensure budgets are correctly allocated and aligned.

6 Capacity development
  • Provide technical support to different program team relating to resource managing.
  • Directly supervise the  resources staff, mentor and train, if any
  • Facilitate  capacity development process of implementing partners.

7 Reporting
  • Develop and share reporting chart to all concern.
  • Ensure all reports are produced in time (as per agreement with donor) in collaboration with program team.

Essential qualifications
Education
Master’s degree any discipline , having a degree from abroad will be preferred.
Work experience
Minimum five years of relevant work experience, preferably in resources for education and community development program.
Knowledge of fundraising information sources, proven experience with proposal writing for institutional donors, Proven track record of institutional donors, Excellent communication skills both oral and written, Financial skills including budget development, and monitoring of spend across award portfolio, Experience in program development.

Salary: BDT 18,83,298.00 yearly (all-inclusive i.e. 2 Bonuses, Provident Fund, Gratuity, Mobile bill and food allowance), based on salary history and experience.
