JOINT DONOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FUND (BANGLADESH)

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SUPPORT REQUIRED

The Joint Donor Technical Assistance Fund (JDTAF) is supporting the implementation of Bangladesh’s National Health, Population and Nutrition Sector Development Programme (HPNSDP). The JDTAF is a multi-donor fund and the recipient of the services is the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, specifically the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).

Crown Agents is the Service Provider, responsible for procuring services under the JDTAF and is currently seeking to procure qualified Consultants to deliver Technical Assistance support in the following areas:

1. Supply Chain Management Consultant – Central Medical Stores Depot to assist with strengthening the supply chain management system for health commodities (four month assignment).

2. Human Resources Management Expert for Financial Management and Audit Unit (FMAU) to perform a comprehensive assessment of the current organisational structure required for the FMAU against the structure required for the FMAU to complete its mission effectively and to provide recommendations on the optimal staffing structure (one month assignment).

3. Business Management Consultant preferably with Health Experience to evaluate options for the future structure of the National Electro Medical Equipment Maintenance Workshop and Training Centre and Transportation Equipment Maintenance Organisation i.e. public versus private corporation (2-3 month assignment).

4. Fire Prevention/Safety Expert preferably with knowledge of the Bangladesh health sector and Laboratory Management experience to provide effective, technically sound and feasible recommendations for improving the existing fire prevention systems of the Drug Testing Laboratory (three month assignment).

5. Biomedical Engineer – Central Medical Stores Depot to support the delivery of improved access, quality and use of medical products and technologies; to assist the Government to establish a robust and effective system for the development of national essential health technology programs that will have a positive impact on the burden of disease and will ensure the effective use of resources and deliver value for money; to identify where appropriate innovative technologies that can have a significant impact on public health.
