              Required Qualification:  
              
                - Post  Graduate (from any reputed University) in Development Studies/Sociology/  English/Communication Studies/Development Management and any other area  relevant with development programmes/activities;
 
                - Minimum  5-years’ experience of working in development organisations and/or policy  research organisations; Experiences in working for youth development will be  considered as an added advantage;
 
                - Required  skills include excellent writing skills both in English and Bangla along with standard  level of computer literacy;
 
                - In  addition, essential job specific skills include ability to plan and coordinate  programmatic activities aptly, ability to come up with innovative, pragmatic  and creative ideas, exceptional interpersonal communication skills including facilitation  skills and negotiation skills in leading team members and youth members of  Young Bangla network; capacity to provide mentoring and engage young volunteers;  and  
 
                - Necessary  skills include also ability to be mobile and tenacious, capability to work with  multiple stakeholders including public and private sector actors, and aptitude  to promote knowledge sharing within organisation and consolidate organisational  learning;
 
                - Proficiency  in administrative duties such as work-scheduling, developing informational  material, preparing budget and human resource plans are standard skills as  desired;
 
               
              Job Responsibilities  
              Broad  areas  
              
                - Guide team to facilitate Young Bangla Network as a successful  platform of young achievers and youth leaders of the country;
 
                - Steer the programmes of Young Bangla like Vision 2021 Internship,  Joy Bangla Youth Award and others;
 
                - Engage youth with Young Bangla who have voluntary motives for  community work, capacities of innovations and entrepreneurial abilities;
 
                - Showcase the achievements of engaged youth in media and other  spheres, as and when necessary; and
 
                - Craft partnership with government and private sectors to make Young  Bangla as an effective youth platform. 
 
               
              Specific  areas:  
              
                - Develop, formulate and devise concept papers, strategic notes, and  program plans; 
 
                - Evaluate program activities, revise plan and implement it to  achieve all objectives;
 
                - Provide leadership in event management and network communications  for Young Bangla platform; 
 
                - Provide strategic and hands-on communication support to Young  Bangla network;
 
                - Assist team members with the maintenance of all social media  outlets and online platforms of Young Bangla;  
 
                - Regular communication with Joy Bangla Youth awardees to facilitate  their efforts and initiatives to a larger scale;
 
                - Plan, manage and augment the scope of Vision 2021 Internship  with government and corporate; 
 
                - Provide content support to develop publications and audio  visuals of Young Bangla;
 
                - Enhance partnership with private and public sector entities; and 
 
                - Representing the network/platform - Young Bangla to external  audiences, stakeholders and partners;
 
               
              Salary Range: Taka 75,000 /125,000

What sets Young Bangla apart is the spread of its network, from the  urban to the rural. Young Bangla strives to empower youth to build future  leaders who can contribute to local and national development. The long-term  mission is to ensure sustainability for youth-led initiatives and dispersal of  winning ideas and endeavors.  
		    Young Bangla aims to unlock the potential of youth, give them  opportunities to shine, recognize their talents and achievements and help them  shape the future of the nation. In order to motivate young individuals and  youth-led organizations, Young Bangla gives the Joy Bangla Youth  Award since 2015 to its members as a recognition for their outstanding  contribution in categories such as community development, social inclusion,  research and innovation, and business entrepreneurship. The winners are given comprehensive  support in terms of capacity and linkage-building with public and private  sectors and expose in print electronic and social media.  
		     Young Bangla has been arranging four-month internship programs,  Vision 2021 Internship, for its meritorious members with the government’s  ministries and reputed private sector companies. The collaboration with  Microsoft Bangladesh is one of the most successful initiatives of Young Bangla.  As of now, four inclusive measures have been taken for the winners of the first  Joy Bangla Youth Award and Young Bangla members. These are Brand Ambassadorship, Internship, Service  Engineers’ Training, and setting  up computer labs. Young Bangla collaborates with the government’s ICT Division  to set up countrywide computer and language training labs called Sheikh Russell  Digital Labs (SRDLs) to develop Information Technology (IT) and foreign  language skills among school students.   |
