The project titled “Improving the Lives of the Urban Extreme Poor (ILUEP)” is an integrated urban programme targeting extreme poor families living in pavement, squatter and undeveloped slums in Dhaka and Chattragram city. The project intended to help targeted extreme poor families move out of poverty through livelihood enhancement and improve overall wellbeing.

Currently, Concern is looking for a suitable candidate for the following position:

FIELD COORDINATOR-ILUEP (01 Position): The Field Coordinator- ILUEP is a mid-level position and responsible for providing operational and technical support to partner organizations, city corporations (DSCC, DNCC & CCC), ward councillor office, coordinative with local DC offices and other relevant stakeholders associated with the program. The successful candidate is also responsible for supporting the Program Manager ensuring high quality & timely delivery of interventions, monitoring, ensuring policy compliances and trouble-shooting of day to day program management. This is a challenging and exciting position with one of the leading organisations in the country contributing to the global learning and knowledge dissemination in urban programing.

Contract Duration: up to December 2021.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Working with partner to ensure development of annual program Implementation plan for timely and quality delivery of program that ensure achievement of desired result from program interventions to completion and beyond.
  • Working closely with technical experts in design and facilitate training, workshops, meeting etc.  for partners involved with the program to improve their  partner capacity in relevant issues
  • Ensure that  administrative, financial and resource management policies and procedure  of CWW are understood  and adhered by partner during implementation 
  • Support partners to unlock their potentials and encourage in giving out their best e.g. celebrate success, acknowledge, good performance and will assist to reduce or resolve conflict, provide with resources, tools and equipment.
  • Ensuring that the program specific M&E system in place and data  gathering  take place in organized  way to track  the program progress
  • Orientating partner NGOs and other stakeholders on the CHS, and in particular the Complain Response Mechanism (CRM)
  • Responsible to collect and document high quality case stories, good practice and program learning regularly for internal and external sharing

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelors/Master Degree in Sociology, Social Welfare or other relevant discipline
  • At least 5 years’ of progressive work experience on urban livelihood and other sector experiences (WASH, early childhood development, nutrition, local level Advocacy etc.) in urban context, experience of working with marginalized people in urban context will be an added value
  • Demonstrated sound technical knowledge on Program Cycle Management (PCM) , setting up and implement MEL system in urban  context
  • Experience in capacity assessment, identifying issues and planning capacity building processes
  • Proven ability to coordinate with diverse set of institutions (GO / NGOs) and national and local level advocacy
  • Demonstrated good experience of developing high quality documentation such as program progress reports, human-interest stories, process documentation, IEC materials etc.
  • Ability to design and facilitate capacity building training
  • Excellent command on writing in both English and Bangla language; Ability to present the document briefly but self-explanatory
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, facilitation and representation skills
  • Gender knowledge and cultural sensitivity with a strong commitment and understanding of the values and principles of CWW.
  • Ability to work under pressure, setting priorities effectively and require competency to meet deadlines specially in time constrain situation
  • Computer literacy of appropriate level and familiarity with common MS office software
