Currently, Concern Worldwide, Bangladesh invites applications for the following position for its emergency response projects in Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar:

Title of the Position: M&E Officer
Number of Position: Three (03)
Type of Contract:  Fixed Term Contract (possibility of extension based on funding availability)
Gross Annual Salary range (inclusive of Festival Bonus & Gratuity): As per organization’s policy
Duty Station: Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • To ensure adequate support is provided to planning and designing of existing projects
  • Contributing and supporting the development of systems and processes for the implementation of M&E design and procedures related to Nutrition project;
  • To ensure that project has an M & E system appropriately set up functioning effectively;
  • To ensure that the project has appropriate M & E systems and project trained and proficient in using the tools;
  • To ensure that the M & E findings and organisational learning of the programme are appropriately documented and disseminated at the different levels
  • To ensure that the evaluations, researches, feasibility studies, cases studies are appropriately carried out;
  • As a member of the Nutrition Project, to work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure excellence within Project and Concern work is captured, promoted and disseminated;
  • Orientating partner NGOs and other stakeholders on the CHS standards, and in particular the CRM.

Key Requirements:

  • Completed master degree in social science/Development/studies/statistic/Public health and other related subject from any reputed public/ private University. Fellowship award, research credential and publication in reputed journal are considered as extra academic accomplishments;
  • At least 5 years progressively responsible work experience in the area of M & E in development organisations with a strong understanding of M&E principles and processes, including results-based management, quantitative and qualitative tools and methodologies, reporting etc
  • Strong understanding of research methodologies and the nature of evidence which will influence key decision makers in the area.
  • Competent in quantitative research and statistical analysis, including the use of statistical analysis software such as SPSS, Stata, or R Programming
  • Competent in database management, including programmes such as ACCESS
  • Experience with and understanding of Digital Data Gathering (DDG) systems
  • Competent in using qualitative data collection tools and technique such as PRA and participatory monitoring and evaluation (PME).
  • Experience of working with or providing support to partners and/or a partnership model of working.
  • Experience in nurturing of organisational programme learning
