Currently, Concern is looking for a suitable candidate for the following position:

Head of Administration (01 Post) Based in Dhaka:

The Head of Administration is responsible to ensure effective and efficient administrative and logistical support and resources are provided for the organisation in line with organisational policy and good practice. This includes ensuring a safe, secure and attractive physical environment, enabling Concern staff to achieve the vision of transforming the lives of poorest people in Bangladesh

Major areas of responsibility:

  • Procurement Management: Ensuring that the Logistics system for the organisation is established, incorporating a clear and transparent procurement process, and effective procedures for storage, inventory and receipt and delivery of materials that is in line with Concern Worldwide policies and procedures.
  • Drafting and monitoring individual contract agreement made by and between Concern and third parties ensuring that the national laws are respected to enable organisation being free from legal obligation.
  • Providing Concern’s programmes and projects with assistance in dealing with legal issues such as land, utilities etc.
  • Transport Management: Ensuring comprehensive vehicle fleet planning to meet demands of the organisation, developing vehicle replacement plan and budgeting and monitoring operating and capital cost.
  • Ensuring that the offices and houses conform to recommended health and safety standard, including by ensuring they are clean, tidy and attractively arranged, whilst adhering to proper safety measures.
  • Ensuring an efficient and effective communication system including timely dispatch and delivery of mail, post, fax and courier as well as professionally receiving and making telephone calls; including provision of facilities and equipment.
  • Ensuring comprehensive support for International Staff and visitors, including maintaining valid visas and work permits, ensuring provision of standard and suitable accommodation with domestic support and providing a proactive enabling service to ensure their safety and wellbeing in Bangladesh, including providing induction and information on customs and culture.
  • Leading the Administration and logistics team in a manner that empowers them to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Participating actively in team planning and other meetings, working to set common objectives and goals and striving to ensure these are successfully achieved.
  • Orientating of team member and other stakeholders in particular the Complaint Response Mechanism (CRM).

Key Requirements:

  • Masterís degree (preferably in Management)
  • 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in the field of Administration, procurement and logistics and support within international organisation and support within international organisation.
  • Knowledge on national laws and legislations on public administration.
  • Experience of managing a team consisting of different levels of staff
  • Experience of working in a development organisation and good understanding of working with partner organisations.

Annual Gross Salary Range: BDT 144,9504 – BDT 183,4092 + other admissible benefits (festival bonus, provident fund, gratuity, health and life insurance and outpatient medical)
