Concern Universal is preparing a large project on rice and crop diversification with an aim to improve small holder productivity and strengthen competiveness of market systems. In this context, the organization is looking for a qualified, dynamic and motivated individual to fill up the following position:
“Microfinance Specialist”
Project: Rice and diversified Crops Activity
Location: Based in Dhaka and Southwest districts of Bangladesh
Reporting to: Chief of Party
Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the role is for the technical inputs on microfinance packages and systems. S/he will be responsible for the implementation of innovative microfinance initiatives as part of the project. S/he will be expected to travel to the field frequently and spend a significant proportion of her/his time in the field working with project participants and other stakeholders.
The position requires an individual with:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Significant years of relevant experience in microfinance initiatives
- Experience developing microfinance packages for informal agricultural market actors
- Experience with areas of climate change and agricultural market systems
- Demonstrated strong writing and oral presentation skills in English
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
