Coats Bangladesh Ltd., a subsidiary of Coats plc, UK., is looking for young, energetic & competent Laboratory Shift Officer (Gazipur Plant) to join our team.

The position is to support Laboratory Manager by ensuring smooth operation and coordination of all laboratory activities relating to LRM Coordination, Color Matching, sample preparation, and Ahiaba and Simplex operations, on shift and during shift handovers. The position also to ensure the optimum allocation of resources (people and machinery) during shift, including weekend. The role will be primarily accountable for the followings:

  • To support the Lab Manager by ensuring smooth operation and coordination of all laboratory activities relating to LRM coordination, color matching, sample preparation and lab dyeing machines operations, on shift and during shift handovers.
  • To ensure optimal allocation of resources (people and machinery) during shift.
  • To ensure the correct use of LRM software for logging and efficient processing of all laboratory requests in line with SOPs.
  • To support bulk production through the provision of high quality recipes for Bulk Recipe Improvements (BRI) and Bulk Recipe Development (BRD) requests.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate in Chemistry / Physics / Textile Technology / Chemical Engineering from any recognized university
  • Minimum twelve months of experience in rotational shift management in a high pressure high volume environment
  • Strong team player with a can do attitude
  • Proactive with strong interpersonal/ communication skills
