We are also the market leader in Bangladesh and are looking for a young and energetic Technical Services Manager, reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director. 

The job will be based at Dhaka.  

The position is primarily responsible for leading the Technical Services and product development initiatives in Coats Bangladesh with a view to ensure profitable sales growth through market share gains and retaining the leadership position with right strategies and appropriate actions. 

  1. Technical Services:
    1. Offer the full range of Technical Services to our premium customers. 
    2. Improve our customers’ productivity and offer cost effective solutions to our customers on the basis of our technical expertise. 
    3. Help customers where required with troubleshooting services.  
  2. Marketing Services:
    1. Leading and participating in the initiatives for generating profitable sales growth like new proposition development, targeted share gains from competition, product positioning, product mix enrichment, product re-engineering etc. 
  3. Consultative Selling:
    1. Based on the specific requirements ensuring focused consultancy and trainings for better efficiency, cost effectiveness and profitability.
    2. Providing integrated sewing advisory services to retails brands and vendors.  
    3. Developing & reviewing effective sewing advisory services with a view to achieve company`s business plans and goals.  
    4. Organizing and conducting seminars for retail brands and vendors with a view to create positive product image in terms of quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness.  
    5. Helping to grow customers business through productivity enhancement research and surveys. 
    6. Monitoring, consolidating and analyzing customer experiences and feedback from all key stakeholders. 
    7. Demonstrating ideal machine settings and adjustments to eliminate issues like breakages, puckering & other sewing related problems in a shop floor.
    8. Illustrating the characteristics and merits of products and better combination of fabrics, machines, needles and other equipment’s to manufacturers.  
    9. Handling post sales maintenance & upgrade activities and ensure that any problems are resolved within standard time allotted for the nature of a complaint.  
  4. Product Development: 
    1. Investigating, selecting, and developing new products for vendors to support their unique requirements. 
    2. Responsible for tracking clients’ feedback and satisfaction and roll new initiatives with new and existing market segments.
    3. Responsible for maintaining and managing technical partnerships, requirement analysis, prioritization, evaluation and negotiations of terms with Merchandising, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
  5. Business Development & Strategic Accounts Management: 
    1. Coordinating and integrating Coats’ regional and global resources with “Top Down & Bottom Up” approach for better competitive advantage and unique service supports for major retail brands.
  6. Branding:
    1. Industrial branding / publishing marketing collateral for promoting products and services for both existing and new customers and as well as for the retail brands.
  7. Project Management
    1. Running global projects to increase market share while maintaining incremental sales growth and profitability. Besides increasing market share, such projects enable Coats to neutralize competition threats and minimize our carbon footprints.
  8. Training and Induction Program:
    1. Designing, developing and conducting internal technical training programs for different functions in the organization.
    2. Designing, developing and conducting induction programs for new management employees in Sales and Marketing.
  9. Global Services:
    1. Leading and coordinating global initiatives in profitable sales growth in selling different consultative services in Bangladesh.

Qualification:

  • Should be an Industrial engineer with 5-7 years’ experience preferably in readymade garments industry.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understand and recognize customer needs and possess the ability to build up long-term value-added partnership with customers.
  • Should be a good team player and an excellent negotiator.
  • Excellent persuasion skill & a go-getter
