Reporting to: Head of OTRC
Job Description:
- Preparation of the substantiation package as per standard
- Comparing the General Ledger Balance to the sub-ledger or source documents and;
- Confirming the reconciliation and the information supporting the reconciliation are reasonable, accurate and complete based on the understanding of the account and the related business.
- Retaining all supporting documentation that substantiates balance.
- Review account attributes (General Ledger vs. Sub Ledger, Aging) to ensure validity.
- Aging outstanding items or the items (by transaction) comprising the General Ledger balance depending on the nature of the account.
- Document the status of open items.
- Escalate open items as appropriate to the Account Owner.
- Ensure adequate supporting documentation exists and if applicable, a rationale for maintaining items greater than $50,000 USD aged 60 days past benchmark.
- Work with the Account Owner to determine if any amounts should be reported as amounts at risk and if any reserve should be created.
- Determine root causes of reconciling items.
- Maintaining compliance with Segregation of Duties requirements as outlined in this Policy.
- Attest to the status of the reconciliation and compliance with this Policy by submitting the account in eRecon.
- Escalates issues in accordance with the Balance Sheet Substantiation Escalation Matrix.

Educational Requirements:
- Graduation/Post Graduation from any reputed university.
- Completion of ACCA / CACC will be and added advantage.
Experience Requirements:
- Preferably one year of banking experience (Not a mandatory requirement).
