Job Role
The job entails managing Citi’s Financial Institutions Group (FIG), which includes Banks, Insurance companies, Microfinance institutions, Funds and other non-Bank FIG relationships in Bangladesh. You are required to manage and grow the FIG business and drive performance of the business by understanding client’s financial needs and offering best-in-class solutions establishing Citi as a market leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Financial Institutions team to deliver revenue goals by maintaining excellent client coverage and delivering Citi’s products to our clients.
  • Set high standards and achieve performance objectives through ethical and sustainable results.
  • Translate Citi’s strategy into effective business plans for Financial Institutions Group while proactively overcoming obstacles.
  • Work collaboratively across the firm including local and regional business, product, support functional partners to achieve best results for Citi and the Financial Institutions clients.
  • Work with credit risk management team to understand and manage risks inherent to the client portfolio.
  • Develop and motivate the relationship management team to achieve superior results.

Job Specification

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Relationship Management with at least 3 years in Financial Institutions.
  • Experience in formulation and implementation of business strategy across all Financial Institutions Group customer segments.
  • Knowledge in cash, trade, securities and treasury products and services.

Skills:

  • Exceptional leadership and influencing skills combined with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong credit analysis and business presentation skills.

Qualifications:

  • A relevant undergraduate degree and/or professional membership (CIMA, CFA, ACCA, CA or similar). An MBA would be an added advantage.
