About CHRF
Child Health Research Foundation (CHRF) is a non-profit research organization in Dhaka, Bangladesh, registered under the NGO Affairs Bureau. Founded in 2007 by a multidisciplinary research group, we operate with the core mission to improve child health by facilitating appropriate policy decisions on treatment and prevention of infectious diseases through quality research and advocacy using available resources. We conduct research in four hospitals (Dhaka Shishu Hospital, Dr. MR Khan Shishu hospital, Chittagong Ma-O-Shishu Hospital, and Kumudini Women’s Medical College) and five microbiology laboratories around the country. We collaborate with different international organizations like World Health Organization, Edinburgh University, Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University, Centre for Disease Control (CDC), Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), etc.  

We invite application for the position “Executive Assistant” for working closely with the Executive Director of Child Health Research Foundation.

Job location: Dhaka, Bangladesh

Employment term: Fixed-term/Regular

Vacancy: 1

Salary range: BDT 45,000 – 55,000 (depending on the experience and/or qualifications of the candidate)

Benefits: Contributory provident fund and festival allowance (Eid, Puja, Christmas, Baishakhi)
  
Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate executive communications, including taking calls, responding to emails, maintaining calendars and interfacing with donors and partners
  • Prepare internal and external corporate documents for team members and partners
  • Schedule meetings and appointments and manage travel itineraries and visa applications of senior officials
  • Arrange corporate events to take place outside of the work place, such as annual meetings, conferences, and staff appreciation events
  • Maintain an organised filing system of paper and electronic documents
  • Uphold a strict level of confidentiality
  • Develop and sustain a level of professionalism among staff, collaborators and partners
  • Occasional national and international travels to aide in CHRF-related activities and meeting attendance

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in administration or management will be preferred; applicants with science background will also be considered
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Executive Assistant reporting directly to senior management
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with new programs and softwares
  • Proficiency in English is essential
  • Special preference will be given to “A” Level degree holders
  • Strong organisational, project management and problem-solving skills with multi-tasking abilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanour
