Terms of Reference for project manager
Position Identification:
  • Title: Project Manager
  • Position: 1 (One)
  • Functional area: Dhaka & Cluster Areas
  • Report to: Chief  Executive Officer (CEO)
  • Salary: Negotiable
  • Employment Status: Contractual (Extendable on availability of fund)
Position Objective:
  • To lead the project, plan and design and implement interventions as per project document as well as work plan.
  • To see over all administration of the project, safety and security of office equipment and assets and ensure maintenance of stock ledgers.
  • To look after all routine work and monitoring of the project activities as in charge.
  • She /He will supervise and manage different activities of the project as per project document.
  • To communicate with donor agency, ministries and other stakeholders as and when required of the project.

Key Responsibility:
  • Plan and design intervention as per the need of the project.
  • Plan for procurement, collect quotations / bidding documents to implement the project smoothly as and when required.
  • Undertake travel wherever required.
  • Write progress reports weekly basis and donors reports as per project contract.
  • Prepare contract, agreement ,write concept notes, Terms of Reference (To R), and prepare presentations as and when required.
  • Design cluster offices and training centers as describe spelled in the project document.
  • Network with regional agro processing associations  and companies.
  • Generate buy in and contributions amongst the enterprises for the project initiatives.
  • Communicate with donors, ministries and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare strategic alliances with other development partners, donor agencies and non government organization (NGO) or government.
  • Oversee project accounts and follow up expenditure ratio.
  • Coordinate project management team (PMT) meeting and prepare reports/ presentations for the meeting.
 Person Specification: Qualification/Knowledge/Experience
  • MBA / Development Studies from Agriculture Universities or any others reputed university. Minimum 13 years of experience; 10 years in managerial positions.
  • Work experience in SDC funded or any others donors funded projects.
  • Experience in Agro SME sector.
  • Have a good understanding of public-private partnerships/ skills development/TVET sector in Bangladesh.
