Application from local and national NGOs for Start Fund Bangladesh Membership

Start Fund is a civil society managed pooled funding mechanism designed to enable aid agencies to respond low to medium scale emergencies. It can allocate funding within 72 hours of receiving a crisis alert and accessible to the global Start Network member NGOs operating in countries.

Start Fund Bangladesh is the first national version of the global Start Fund, and its prime objectives are to enable local and national NGOs (L/NNGOs) to participate in the Fund management and to access the Fund as directly as possible.

Start Fund Bangladesh intends to expand its membership to local and national CSOs/NGOs so that they can directly participate in the fund management and be able to access this Fund for rapid response to emergencies.

This call for EOI has been initiated as part of a mapping exercise to identify potential NGOs for the membership based on locally appropriate due diligence requirements and risk management processes/capacities. This call is open for all local and national NGOs, who have government approval to operate in Bangladesh and have commitments and experiences of responding to humanitarian crises.

If you are interested to become a member of the Start Fund Bangladesh, please submit your EoI by 28 June 2018. You have to register at http://cso.cbsg-bd.org  to access the online EoI format.

Start Fund Bangladesh is currently supported by UKaid from the British People and hosted by Action Against Hunger | Action Contre la Faim (ACF), Bangladesh.
