Position: Trade Operations Team, Export/ Import (SPO/FAVP)

Key Job Responsibilities:

Import Desk:

  • Scrutinize LC issue/amendment/cancellation applications and other related documents
  • Check lien of Export LC/Sales Contract for BBLC
  • Check margin and balance in operating account for opening of cash LC
  • Process for opening LC, input necessary details in the systems, realize commission, charges and taxes, generates LC No and issue MT 700
  • Issuance of all sorts of import related certificates
  • Prepare application for revalidation of LCAF & sent to Bangladesh Bank along with other documents.
  • Processing of Bangladesh Bank Agency Permission.
  • Ensure enhanced delivery of trade processing services to the branches
  • Conflict resolution
  • Receive applications for LC opening/amendment/cancellation and other related documents, distribute and supervise team members for processing of the same.
  • Communicate with Branch Managers for resolving discrepancies.

Export Desk:

  • Check authenticity of the L/C Amendment
  • Follow up with the LC issuing bank until the issue is resolved
  • Scrutinize the relevant documents
  • Communicate with RM in case of any discrepancy and correction required
  • Check for buying house permission if required
  • Encashment
  • Process of Bangladesh Bank Agency Permission
  • Issue Certificate, e.g proceed realization, Certificate, TT Receipt Certificate, C& F Certificate etc.

Educational Requirements
Master’s in Business, MBM, Economics or relevant subjects from leading business school/University. No Third Division in academic records.

Experience Requirements
Minimum 6 years working experience in leading Commercial Banks working in Import/Export Desk.
