Name of the Post: Head of Credit Administration

Position: VP/SVP

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the loan approval process and coordinates the Management Loan Committee, Loss Share Review Committee and Special Assets Management Committee.
  • Manages the annual loan review process to ensure timely completion as outlined in the bank’s credit policy.
  • Follows instructions and performs other job- related duties as assigned.
  • Reconcile Loss Share GL accounts monthly.
  • Manage information requests and engagements of all third party loan review, internal/external auditors and bank regulators.
  • Prepare Quarterly bank loan concentration reports for review by supervisor.
  • Author and maintain the current loan policy and procedures and make revisions as required. Update and communicate with the lending staff of the changes/revisions to the policy. Answer policy questions from the lending staff.
  • Conform in all respects with applicable local laws, regulations, ordinances and other orders, and to all company policies, procedures and directives from the employee’s superiors, and takes appropriate steps to assure compliance by personnel under the employee’s supervision.
  • Complies with all information requests from auditing, finance, risk management and the human resource departments in order to ensure compliance with laws and company policy.
  • Have a clear understanding about all credit documents including land related documents and process. Work as custodian of all credit documentation

Education (minimum/preferred):

  • Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management and/or Business, Law or equivalent experience preferred;

Work Experience (minimum/preferred):

  • Twelve years of credit analysis and/or administration or equivalent experience required;

Other:

  • In depth knowledge of compliance regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, self-starter, and an intuitive nature as to what needs to happen to make things work correctly and smoothly
  •  Serves as in-house leader in understanding credit related support tools.
  • Strong understanding and skills regarding MS Office®, especially in m/s Excel and m/s WORD.
